DANAU TOBA

pada suatu hari, disebuah desa kecil di sumatra utara, hiduplah seorang nelayan yang sederhana baik hati bernama toba. nelayan tersebut sangat baik kepada siapa pun.

pada suatu hari, nelayan tersebut pergi memancing seperti biasanya. namun, pada hari itu, nelayan tersebut tidak mendapatkan seekor ikan pun. setelah hari mulai sore, tiba tiba, nelayan tersebut mendapat seekor ikan mas yang besar. nelayan itu pun merasa sangat senang dan kemudian dia pulang ke rumah membawa ikan mas tersebut.

sesampainya dia di rumah, dia ingin memasak ikan mas tersebut. saat ikan mas tersebut akan dipotong, dia mendengar suara teriakan, " tolong aku, tolong jangan bunuh aku ". mendengar suara itu, nelayan merasa kebingungan dan berusaha mencari darimana suara tersebut berasal. ternyata suara tersebut berasal dari ikan mas yang dipegangnya. nelayan tersebut merasa sangat kaget, dan ketakutan. "siapa kau ini sebenarnya, kenapa kau bisa berbicara", kata sang nelayan. "kamu tidak usah takut wahai pemuda yang baik hati, aku tidak akan menyakitimu, tapi tolong jangan bunuh aku" kata sang ikan mas. " baiklah, aku tidak akan membunuhmu" jawab sang nelayan. oh, terima kasih wahai pemuda". kata sang ikan mas dengan bahagia.

One day, the fishermen went fishing as usual. however, on that day, the fishermen did not get any fish. after the day began in the afternoon, suddenly, the fisherman gets a big carp. The fishermen also felt very happy and then he went home to bring the goldfish.
when he got her home, she wanted to cook the carp. when the carp will be cut, he heard a voice shouting, "Help me, please do not kill me". heard it, fishermen feel confused and trying to find where the voice came from. turns the sound comes from goldfish holding. The fishermen feel very shocked and frightened. "Who are you actually, why do you speak," said the fisherman. "You do not fear, O young man kind, I will not hurt you, but please do not kill me" said the goldfish. "Well, I will not kill you" replied the fisherman. ‘’oh, thank you."said the goldfish happily.

keesokan harinya, nelayan itu pergi memancing seperti biasanya, namun malangnya nelayan itu tidak mendapatkan seekor ikan pun. akhirnya ia pulang dengan tangan kosong dan perut yang kelaparan. sesampainya dia di rumah, ia sangat kaget karena melihat dimeja makan sudah tersedia makanan yang banyak. tiba tiba ada seorang gadis yang cantik keluar dari dapur. "siapa kau ?" kata sang nelayan dengan wajah ketakutan. "aku adalah ikan yang kemarin kau tolong?" kata sang gadis. " tapi bagaimana kau bisa menjadi seorang manusia?"  jawab sang  nelayan dengan wajah penuh curiga. "aku memang bisa berubah menjadi manusia." jelas sang gadis. "lalu apa yang ingin kau lakukan disini?" tanya sang nelayan. "aku ingin membalas kebaikanmu sebagai rasa terima kasihku. aku akan mengabulkan permintaanmu."kata sang gadis.

the next day, the fishermen went fishing as usual, but unfortunately the fishermen not getting any fish. finally he came home empty-handed and hungry stomachs. him when he got home, he was very surprised to see the table eating foods that are already available. suddenly there was a beautiful girl out of the kitchen. "Who are you ?" said the the fishermen with a face of fear. "I was a fish that yesterday you please?" said the girl. "But how can you be a human being?" replied the the fishermen with a face full of suspicion. "I was able to turn into a human being." obviously the girl. "then what you want to do here?" asked the the fishermen. "I want to repay you as my gratitude. I will grant your request." said the girl.

baiklah. aku ini hidup sebatang kara, aku ingin mempunyai keluarga. aku ingin menikah denganmu". kata sang nelayan

baiklah, tapi aku mempunyai satu syarat. jika nanti kita mempunyai anak, kau tidak boleh mengatakan tentang masa laluku bahwa aku adalah seekor ikan". kata sang gadis.

sang nelayan pun menerima persyaratan tersebut. akhirnya mereka berdua menikah.

setelah beberapa tahun, mereka pun mempunyai seorang anak laki laki bernama Samosir.sayangnya anak itu sangat nakal dan tidak pernah membantu kedua orang tuanya. pada suatu hari ibu Samosir menyuruhnya untuk membawakan makan siang untuk ayahnya. namun Samosir malah memakan makanan tersebut. ayahnya yang sedang menangkap ikan merasa kelaparan, dalam hati ia berkata " kenapa Samosir belum mengantarkan makan siang untukku". akhirnya nelayan itu pu pulang kerumah. ditengah perjalanan ia bertemu dengan Samosir yang sedang asik bermain bersama temannya, kato. lalu ayahnya Samosir bertanya kepada Samosir, "dimana makan siangku? ". namun Samosir hanya diam saja. kato pun mengatakan pada ayahnya Samosir bahwa makan siangnya sudah dimakan oleh Samosir. lalu ayah Samosir pun marah besar dan mengingkari janjinya dengan berkata" anak nakal, kau ini sama dengan ibumu, kau adalah anak dari seekor ikan." mendengar hal itu Samosir pun ketakutan dan lari meninggalkan ayah dan temannya. tiba tiba langit berubah menjadi gelap dan bergemuruh. air mulai membanjiri desa. ibu Samosir sangat marah dan akhirnya berubah kembali menjadi ikan dan berusaha mencari Samosir. melihat air semakin tinggi, Samosir berlari menuju keatas bukit. sedangkan ayahnya sudah tenggelam. akhirnya seluruh desa tenggelam dan menjadi sebuah danau.

sekarang danau itu dipanggil sebagai danau toba, sedangkan bukit yang dinaiki Samosir dikenal dengan nama pulau Samosir.

after a few years, they also have a boy named Samosir.sayangnya boy was very naughty and never help both parents. one day Samosir mother told him to bring lunch to her father. however Samosir even eat the food. his father, who was catching fish feel hunger, inwardly he said, "why Samosir not deliver lunch for me". pu fishermen finally come home. amid the trip he met with Samosir which is cool to play with his friend, Kato. then his father Samosir Samosir asked, "where my lunch?". however Samosir just stay quiet. Kato also said to her father Samosir that his lunch had been eaten by Samosir. then Samosir father was furious and his word by saying "bad boy, are you the same as your mother, you are the son of a fish." Samosir heard it was frightened and fled from his father and his friend. suddenly the sky became dark and rumbling. water began to flood the village. Samosir mother was furious and eventually turned back into a fish and trying to find Samosir. see higher water, Samosir ran way up the hill. while her father had drowned. and finally the whole village sank into a lake.
The lake is now called as Lake Toba, whereas Samosir climbed the hill known as the island of Samosir.

Toba Lake

Long time ago, in a village named village Kano in North Sumatra, there lived a simple the fishermen who kindly named Toba. The the fishermen is very good to anyone.

Summary :    There was a fisherman who was married to a girl. The girl is a fish that turn into humans. The fishermen had reneged by telling her that his mother is a fish. Consequently, the entire village cursed and turned into lake
